Week 79 09/09/2008
Me, Me, Me
That’s right, I want to focus on me for a change. (As if we haven’t done enough of that already, right?) Seriously, with summer officially behind me, it’s time to re-prioritize. And probably time for a lot of you to do the same. The kids are back in school, social and work commitments are more regular…time in the day to focus on YOU is actually a possibility again! For me, this means journaling more regularly, planning meals farther in advance and scheduling activity in every day instead of “squeezing” it in whenever I could over the summer. I am now actually able to stop and take a breath before each food choice and really ask myself. “Is this second helping going to bring me closer to my goal, or farther away from it?” Maintaining consistency in your day or week fosters this kind of control. (Well, isn’t Miss Bertinelli talkin’ all fancy these days? “…fosters this kind of control…” Can you tell I’ve been studying? )
Anyway, I am in such a good place right now, have a great mindset, and even thinking of squeaking a few more pounds off…? But I am NOT committing, so don’t hold me to it.
