Now for the dirt…like, what Valerie and I had for breakfast! Today we ate JENNY’S CHICKEN FAJITAS, and I’m going to tell you why and how. The ‘why’ part’s easy: we love the taste, even for breakfast…especially when prepared (here’s the ‘how’ part) using Volumetrics®. Vegetables are “free,” on Jenny, right? So I pour the chicken fajita contents in a pan, leaving the tortillas to warm in the oven, along with additional red peppers, green peppers, 2 egg whites (because I’m on maintenance) and cook them all together. Splash a little hot sauce (10 calories, maybe?), wrap the chicken and veggies in the tortillas and you’ve got a really hearty breakfast. Which, for me, is key. Eating a good breakfast kicks off my metabolism and, when satisfied, keeps me from numerous trips to the coffee machine mid-morning. I’ve also noticed that I’m more focused.
So that’s my breakfast/Volumetrics® tip of the week. More of these to come.
