Hi there!
Looks like you and I had our "lightbulb moment" around the same time... spring!
My first day was Sunday (sept 11)
I'm in Perth WA so a little far to be walking buddies but I'm also happy to be an online buddy!

SirenWA, Yes walking would be a little hard traveling across time zones...anyways we are in our Fall now...It's still kinda hot still, but that's okay. I am 50 yrs old and do the weight loss thing on my own with the weight -watchers home plan. I come here to share experiences and get inspiration. I have been at this about 9 weeks so far and I am down 24 lbs. to date. How about you? Some days will be easier than others... Take them one day at a time. Come here often , that helps too. Best luck to you.

Thanks! Every bit of encourangement certainly helps. I've only just started but so far, so good! My first weigh in is in three day (Yep, only on day 4!) and I'm hoping that I see SOMETHING that keeps me motivated (cm or kilos).
I've noticed 2 things in the past 2 days..
1) I am SO thirsty.
I don't particularly like juice, cordial or fizzy drinks so all I drink is coffee and water. I MUST be getting my water intake as I guzzle it all day!
2)I'm starving about a half hour before my next meal is due. I never really noticed being hungry before (unless I skipped meals) but now I certainly know when it's time to eat!
I will definately take your advice about checking back here. Reading other peoples experiences is very enlightening.
