Hi everyone,
Thank you to everyone who replied to my message. I was feeling very low at that time and not very motivated at all. At first I didn't want to post because I felt embarassed that I had 'fallen off the wagon'. But all your posts showed me that we can give and receive so much great advice for those little bumps in the road. On this prorgram I have experienced the elation in seeing the weight come off and the disappointment in going off track. However, I think at the end of this journey, and I think this is true for everyone, I will have gained so much from both experiences.
SherNZ- thanks for your post, it really boosted my spirits. Exercise is my downfall, but I was thinking as I read your post that instead of viewing it as a burden I have to bear, I need to start viewing it as a reflection of my decision to look better, feel better about myself. sorry, sounding a bit like Oprah now but I do think it helps sometimes.
MD - Thank you for your advice about recognising the emotional changes that occur when you lose weight. You know, I was only 0.7kg(1.5pounds) away from my first 'big goal' when I went off track so your advice really helped me think about more than just looking skinnier(although that is great) and more about the valuable reasons I decided to join the program -confidence, self-esteem. Thanks again!
One more point - sorry so long, I actually watched a home video of me about a month before I started JC and could not believe the difference that my loss had made. I was absolutely shocked and really didn't realise just how big I had been So to everyone on the program, even if you don't think the program is working, that you can't see the results, trust me, it is working.
Have a great week everyone,
Rachel in Aust.
