I posted a reply to a message only yesterday and now can't find it! In fact, I can't find any of the messages! Unless it takes a while to show up here (being that we are about 22 hours ahead of the States)!
Anyway, great to see a few peoples here.
Considering I started out at around 100kgs I'm happy to say, thanks for kick starting with JC that I'm now at around 87 - fluctuates between 85 and 87.5kgs. The more exercise I seem to do the more I seem to stay around these marks!
any ideas how I can boost my loss (again)?
Cheers
I must agree - I had the list of messages up and saw your post. The whole thread was deleted. I looked back on the list and your message appeared to be like #6-8 in replies - but it's definitely gone. Didn't say anything bad in there, did you? Just kidding!
How are you? Sounds like you're doing well and making great progress. Let us know how you're doing on all fronts - exercise, food and water. Maybe we can give you more specific advice. Otherwise, take some time and review it yourself. Reflect on how you're doing and where you could focus on for the next week or month. That's sometimes the best way.
Try making a list of what you have around you (parks, home weights, gyms, etc.) and what you'd love to do. Between that, you might find that you really love something and can plan time for it. That's how I got into biking - and I'm so glad I did.
Hope to hear from you soon! Take care.

Hey MD
Lovely to see you again! I'm really not too sure what happened with all those posts! I do hope I didn't say anything too un PC! You never know! (me and my big mouth)!!!!
I have a training log that I use every day - in fact I have printed it out to use monthly and I fill it in every day = with my exercise regime. I have listed columns like: exercise(specify)/walking(distance/km)/ Lawns / Housework / Stretching / Gardens / TOTAL TIME - so, I fill this in every day - and try to do at least one walking session each day (8.6kms) and one other - say, gardening or housework. Two months now I've been (or we have been) doing this and both my friend and I are sticking around the same weight.
She is concentrating on counting points (as in the WW - oops shouldn't mention the opposition I guess). But, I'm doing portion size and eating low fats only - sometimes no fat!
I've had yesterday and today off - concentrated instead on housework and the lawns. I even had a couple of vinos - u never know, perhaps this will kick start the old weight loss again.
Anyway, how are you going? Still giving the most wonderful advice - I have read a couple of your comments - always an inspiration (and I'm not being sarcastic - truly you are)! So, howz your weight loss?
Thanks for answering my post - I was starting to think that this board didn't want this kiwi around anymore!
Oh yes, I've even bought myself a Pedometer - what a laugh - it talks to me and tells me how many steps I've done in a day - phew! way past 10,000 for half the day! I mowed the driveway alone the other day and I had walked 5 kilometres! So, goodness knows what the whole of our property would be - I know it takes around 3 hours total to mow by push mower! I love it.
Catch up soon MD
Cheerie oh!
Sher
So glad to hear from you, I had hoped to see you hear again! I'll have to set aside some time and email you - keep in touch more.
The training log sounds wonderful - it can really help when you see it written down on paper. And the pedometer is exactly the same - it can really motivate you to get moving!
First thing that I might check is that you're getting enough calories - I've been through not eating enough and it's a right pain in the butt! Even those fat exchanges can be important to making sure your body is well-fed and ready to burn calories.
Second, you might want to look at changing your daily activity. Sounds like you may be doing similar exercise each day and you may just be burning less calories since your body is getting more efficient at it. So change your pace - faster for 1-3 minutes, then slower and keep repeating. Or try biking or other activities that will keep your muscles learning. And strength training can really help build muscle and even gain confidence too!
So glad to hear that you've got someone to do things with and can help motivate each other. Just making this into a permanent life change is wonderful - and shouldn't be frowned on! Congrats! You are really doing well - I know the scale isn't showing all your good efforts lately, but it will! Consistency pays off! And hey, whatever system helps you get control and empowers you - that's the one. For her, it just might be WW, that's OK!
Thanks for the compliment - I try to keep posting hoping people don't have to go through what I have. And it really helps keep me focused too. Weight loss is going well -- I went through a time with too few calories again and learned my lesson! And recently have been slowly losing, but knew that I've been gaining muscle with my strength training.
And I just found out on paper how well I've done - got a body fat test done. I had a couple a few years ago when I was losing weight (so glad I did that!). I was lighter then - but my body fat is lower now! So glad to hear and I've just joined a gym - so I'm ready for some larger losses. I've been doing well with my weights and cardio at home, but look forward to a change of scenery.
Anyhow -- keep in touch. Private message or email is fine. Love to hear from you. Keep up the great work!

Hi ya MD
I will email you soon - for today tho' I can't stay here for too long. I have a load of laundry to catch up on (since we were away in Rotorua for the weekend). I won't even tell you what I ate and drank there! Uggghhhh - today is Monday and well and truly back to it.
I've been contemplating joining a gym. Its just that we are about 20 odd minutes from town and its a bit of a hassle driving all that way. There's always so much to do on our farm. I look after all the grounds and have some animals in the home paddock that I hand feed - plus the gardens, housework alone takes me around 2 to 3 hours to complete. Its a large place and even tho only 2 of us live in it - seems to get really messy! My hubby thinks I am just plain fussy and that I don't really have to clean it every week - but I won't listen to him. I like to clean every week. I get a bit of a sweat up just vacuuming the floors!
We have picked up our speed with our walking - to try to kick start some weight loss. The weight is moving coz I've had a number of comments from people that haven't seen me for a while - plus the inches are coming off and the jeans are fitting much better.
I will carry on - picking up the pace as you suggested and I am going to look around for a rowing machine (2nd hand one). I tried one out at the gym in the hotel and oooh felt it the next day - wonderful. Nothing like a little pain huh?
I must go - I haven't showered since my walk and am now sneezing coz I got wet in the rain - bbbrrrrrr - we'll keep in touch.
bye for now
