After reading everyone's post it is easy to see that our body's response to the JC programme is as varied as we are. i thought it might be useful for us to give an idea of how it has worked for us so far.
I was really disheartened that I only lost 0.4 kg in my first week. I had been really tough on myself to stick to the programme. I never ate much, just the wrong stuff, so trying to eat all that food was the hardest thing.
After week two, I had lost 1.5kg and obviously all that food has sped up my metabolism enough that things are starting to kick in. I really notice when those smoko times come around because my tummy starts to growl.
Some people are doing better than me with rapid weight loss, and some are probably a bit slower so if you are feeling disheartened because your progress is slow, don't worry it will probably catch up sooner or later.
Hang in there

Hi Kelly,
I'm not from Australia, Canada actually, but I am having the same problem. I was very depressed at first. I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your story. It is nice to know there are other people it the same situations.

Somehow I don't think KiwiKelly is from Australia either.
I am Australian but I live in Canada. Most Canadians can't tell New Zealanders from Aussies, but that is ok since I can't tell Canadians apart from Americans!

Hi I am yet another Kiwi transplanted in Canada. I am living in Calgary. I am in my 3rd week and have lost a total of 6lbs/2kg as at my 2nd weigh in.
Good luck to you all in the program.

"Tiheimauriora" Is Maori for (breath of) "Life" if you didn't know. Its really encouraging to know that there are people, like your self to help others out, share what trials and tribulations, you have been under. It must have something to do with being a *Kiwi* as for me, reading your messages of help to others, it has given me a new "Breath of Life" thanks for the uplifting
