Hey Everyone


I have been off Jenny for a couple years now, and was going to rejoin. Since I haven't been in a long time, I heard there is alot of new consultants. Can anyone recommend anyone? Also is the wonderful Dianne still the center director?

Hey Pandabear and Tiger Lily. I go to the Victoria Center and I see Clare. She is great. Really focused on what you need. Dana and Jenn (?? short little blonde) are really good to. Dianna is not there any more. Cant say I particularily like the newest director as she was the cause of my last counsellor to quit. So I don't have anything really good to say about her.

dont wanna be fat at 50 - i know diana is gone im soo sad...she was the best!!! im not fond of the new one either..alot of changes have happened since the new one took over, cant really say i like the changes either..oh well gotta stick it out i guess until i get the weight off smile.gif

Hello Ladies

I was in the centre last week and did pick up a menu and try to find out a few things, I do like Christina , but i to find there is alot of changes . was not aware that the discount on the food was not available.

I feel there is alot of changes there ...Before I go back to the program i want to get rid of this virus , and right now trying to watch what i eat.

Good luck ladies on your weight loss , not easy but this sure helps..

I am not aware of Jenn or Dana , will for sure ask for them in the future ..there was one girl there i was not crazy about , not sure if she is still there or not ..she was great before I joined then after ..when through the consultation very quickly and could not care less.

Oh well

Hello everyone. I have been so busy lately so have been unable to post. Had a great week this week. Bought my first pair of pants in almost 30 years in a regular persons store. I am so happy. My trainer has been working my keester off. He shows no mercy which I guess is a good thing. Suprisingly though I guess I am getting in shape as it doesn't hurt as much any more after a workout. Anyway I hope evryone has a good week

Hi-ladies,
I have just started back too after 4 years...I miss Dianna too- she was sooo nice. The new lady doesn't have the same personality. Christina is great- but she is not a consultant anymore- I have Clair, but this time I am on a budget, and I got the feeling they weren't too keen on helping me with figuring out my own menu's'! So I am spending a lot of time working the food menu's out for myself, a little harder and more time consuming, so I will let you know how that works out...

Good luck on the program , I know what you mean everyone does not have the money each week for the food and It would be nice if they did help you that way?? When I was there last time i said the same ...they dont seem to want to listen ..this time i did not take the bars one way of saving and she gave me alternative to eat instead.

Hi Panda-bear, Yes I was also shown a sheet of alternatives for the bars, and it's way better, you get;

Multi vitamin plus trail mix
plus
8ox skim milk OR 6 oz. low fat yogurt
plus
1 meat (1 oz. meat/cheese /1/4 cup lowfat cottage cheese

that really fills me up, added to the cottage cheese you can add up to l.l/2 cups sliced strawberries from your limited daily extra's..

you can easily make up your own trail mix, if unsure just buy one and count out whats in it--6 whole almonds, several carob chips plus sunflower seeds and raisins up to 1 oz, carried in a zip,lok bag. I use a small dollar shop scale to keep on the kitchen counter.

I happen to love bread and butter pudding-the bread and butter pudding on this site is not the best, but if you add 1 cup more skim milk before baking its improved, I left out the spices and halved the raisins,and cut into 8 portions, makes a weeks very low cost dessert.

There are low cost options, and some receipes on this site are not bad.

I just joined on Wednesday, April 8/09. I made it through my 1st day. Have any of you had a consultant called Eddie? If so, what are your feelings about her? I liked Christina also - I found her helpful and supportive. A little sugary sweet mind you but... Anyways, have a great day and I will be staying in touch.

Nice to see another new member and all the best on your weight loss. Is Eddie someone you would rather not deal with ?? can't say I know of her .

I know in the past I have had some of them they wouild not the greaatest, but oh well hope you get a different one next time as some of them are so helpful

Hi there - have you joined yet? I also was a former member, and did not do well the first time. So far this time I have lost 40 pounds at Victoria Centre. Why don't you try Jennifer as your consultant? Shs is awesome and has shown me that working with the right consultant makes all the difference (at least in my case). If you two don't hit it off, don't let that stop you because there seem to be different personality types working there and I am sure you will find one to suit - I wish I had done that the first time!

Just a quick reply - you might want to try Jen if you can get her. Really empowering and helpful - I don't think Eddie is everyone's cup of tea but she has been there a long time, so must experience success with some people (me not a fan)and she is always courteous, etc. Good luck!

Hello all,
I had my first weigh-in yesterday - 5 lbs!! Met Eddie and I found her to be alright. Sher had some good info and tips for me which I really liked. I'm looking forward to next weigh-in to see how the extra pointers work out. If anyone here in Victoria would like to meet for a walk, please let me know. Hi everyone... I am in Victoria too and am going to call the centre to get back on the plan. I lost 54 pounds when I was on the program last time. Last September I paid my contact renewal fee and then didn't go back. I had kept my weight off for a while and felt like I was on track. In November I started on a new project at work and got busy and complacent... and well, I've gained back 24 pounds... For the past few weeks I've been trying to watch what I eat and work out, but I need more. And, well, I know that Jenny works for me.

I was wondering if any of you know if Summer is still at the centre? And what changes have taken place since September? I think I read no discounts?? I was at 30% when I left... Do they have any incentive packages?

Also... does anyone know if they're open on Sundays?

Hello - also from Victoria. I've been with JC for six weeks now. Have lost 12.5 pounds. Clothes are all fitting better. I have a lot more to go, but am definitely going in the right direction. This is my first time with Jenny Craig and so far so good. Claire is my consultant and I quite like her. My biggest issue right now is that I am stockpiling far too much food because I eat two to three meals out a week. I'm buying two less lunches a week from JC but I still seem to have food left over each week. I have this vision that I will open the door to my pantry in six months and it will be stockpiled full of JC food and nothing else. Oh well, I guess I'll be well fed if I get snowed in next winter.

Hi Pandabear, 4 weeks into JC-and after last weeks meeting - I am told I am no longer welcome to keep seeing a counseller,as I am not buying enough of their food!!! New rule is 6 meals only allowed on your own, and I was doing more, using their J.Craig cookbooks, and on-line receipes. I was shocked as I paid $250 to become a lifetime platinum member several years ago. I have never heard of such a rule, but was told the new director made this rule recenly ( presumably to boost their food sales) I had told them at re-joining that I am on a budget, and was told then that that was ok, we can work to all budgets, but as the weeks went by, I could tell that Clair was not happy, with my food list. I guess they care more about what you are spending than how you are doing. Two weeks on my own, and I have lost 4.8lbs. Good luck to you, I will not be going back. Rosie-girl.

I think that is B.S, and I would call 1800 number for Jenny and talk to them about that. Is it the consultations you aren't allowed if you aren't buying more food? Are you still allowed to go to the center to purchase food? I'm pretty sure there is a minimum purchase when you have a consultation, but don't see why you couldnt go in to buy food. I really wish they didn't get rid of Diana the old center director.

Summer doesn't work there anymore. As long as you keep renewing your rewards before they expire you can still use your reward discount. If you let it expire then you lose your rewards for good.

How is everyone doing on the program ?? I have so many up's and down's which made starting the program on hold till now

Going to join this tomorrow my day off but not sure if I should just do the 20 lbs for 20 weeks or join there regular programs

Hi Victoria Jenny Craig Members

My name is Creole. I am a BCRPA Personal Trainer and a Certified Walking Coach. I am on the program.

I have been fit and active all my life but when I hit the big MENOPAUSE there was just no winning. 2 hours of working out 6 times a week was not even working for me. What is happening? I am a personal trainer, walking coach, nutrition and wellness specialist. This is not happening to me.....

I would like to start a walking clinic starting at the center on Sundays. This is a no charge program. Just a chance to get out an meet other people on the program, find new friends and a new support network and spend some fun time walking and talking.

I am open to pretty much anytime so please email me and let me know what will work for times. Give me your contact info and I will let you know what time is the most popular to get out and walk, chat and have some fun.
